I have just purchased what was said to be and appears to be a Farmall 200. I have looked at pictures on the web and the 200 and C look very similar. I have been told the 200 replaced the C. My question is my serial number is 15207 J. Can anyone tell me for sure what my model and year is? Any help would be appreciated.

the 200 replaced the super c, which replaced the c. c had no fast hitch and 5 digit serial number. super c's had fast hitch available but not as standard eqpt (neither of my 2 super c's have fast hitch although one has the hydraulic valve that would run the fast hitch- good for the remote cylinder on the sicklebar) and 6 digit serial no's. 200s never got to 6 digits in serial no's. the quickest way to see the difference between a super c and a 200 is the grille. c and super c are similar, the 200 grille is coarser (2 wider bars separating the sets of narrower bars into 2-6-2 configuration). hth

If it was a Super C it would have a six digit serial number. A C or Super C will have a prefix of FC on the serial number plate. The 200 should have 200 on the serial plate.
