hello i am rookie tractor owner with 1955 300u with ta. my problem is it starts very good no choke then seems to run good for a while sometimes an hour and sometimes 10 min then it dies let it sit for a while it starts up good but will not pull it self. It is getting fuel i cleaned the screen in the carb and tried ajusting the carb screws it did nothing the one screw idled it up some but it still quit thanks

Check your coil. I had a similar problem with a '47 H. When it began to die (usually after running about ten minutes) I pulled the center lead from the coil out of the distributor and held it (with _very_ insulated pliers and rubber gloves) about 1/16" from a good ground (careful about gas spills) and turned the engine over. The resulting spark was yellow instead of the usual blue-white. Replaced the coil. Hasn't come back.

Sounds like you might have something floating in your gas tank and when you're running it it sinks to the bottom an plugs the fuel line. pull the fuel line off at the carb and let it run out for a little while and see if it stops and see how fast it is coming out. it should come out pretty fast, if not you might have a blockage.
