Will the head from a gasoline M bolt on to an MD block? Do they have the same bolt pattern? I want to build a stout gasoline M and am thinking about using an MD block with it's five mains.

The crankshaft in the M is PLENTY stout enough to handle most any amount of power You can get from it's displacement. In over 50 yrs and THOUSANDS of tractors I've only ever seen ONE M crankshaft break, twisted in two right next to the center main bearing.
