Yep, I know it's 90 degrees out there, so what better time to start thinking of winter? Anyone ever rig up a snowblower to an H pto? It sounds like a fun project to work on during my week off. If you can clear snow sitting down, life doesn't get any better.

I've got a 7 foot blower on my M. It's V shaped with a short auger screw and impeller on the PTO shaft. The only drawback is that you have to drive through the snow first, but I figure if the snow is too deep to drive through, the M won't have the HP to blow it anyway. If the M can handle a 7 foot, the H should be able to handle a 5 or 6 foot blower. I have a pic posted on this site in the Farmall Photo Gallery. If you search on 1947 Farmall M, you will find it.

Thanks Marv. Nice rig.
If I can't find a decent blower to try, I'll put the loader back on for the winter.

You may need to consider ground speed. For efficient blower operation, you will need to run the PTO at full throttle. If your blower is rear mounted and driven in reverse, your ground speed may be too fast handle the volume of snow.

Seriously though, I have a Saginaw 3 point on my Super C, and it runs the snow blower nicely. An H should work just as fine.
