My brother has been telling me about his neighbor"s 706 gas that is split, waiting for an engine to be put in. The engine is there, I don"t know what it came out of. Has both a narrow and wide front. I don"t know about the TA. Rear tires are maybe 25%. I live 3 hours from the tractor. How good is the market for these tractors? If it is a decent work tractor, TA functions, worn tires (maybe good for pulling) can a guy sell it quickly for $3000? $4000? I would buy it to assemble it and sell it. Thanks, Tim (Wisconsin)

The market for a 706 gas is real slim.
They are too big for most hobby guys and too gasser for the bigger guys.

You can get $3000 for it but not quickly.
Aound here there was a slew of gassers at the sales. No maint done to them as the owners knew they wernt going to keep them. All brought $3000 or less some with loaders.

Here is your market. Guy needing more HP to run a round baler, but not the volume to support the $6000 cost of a 706D.
AM I a market to my self??? :-)

If you go ahead with this, I think the best way to sell it would be on ebay. There was an 806 gas tractor sold on ebay recently for $3052. I would think your 706 would go for about the same considering the fact that you would have little to offer in the way of history for a potential buyer.

Chances are that you will have to sink some money into it just to get it reassembeled due to missing and broken parts, so take that into account. Furthermore, almost any buyer is going to want to know that it runs and the TA works, so that could take some additional money as well.
