I rebuilt the carb on my Farmall H. I am having a problem with it leaking where the brass nut (that screws into the jet) is. I changed the small round gaskets a couple of times, same problem. I don't want to go too tight or I may break the jet. Any ideas? Thanks!!

If I am reading your post correctly, you need the "packing, fuel adjusting screw" 24703 DA or 67266 DX -- I believe that is still available from Case-IH. It fits under the nut, and the screw goes through it.

Yes, that part is still available from Case-IH, I got one just a few days ago. You will need to use a small pick of some sort to remove the old one. It will come out in very small pieces, more like crumbs.

Rusty, was that on a SMTA carb? If you guys need a super carb rebuild at a fair price, talk to "rusty". He just did mine, and after installing it the old girl it started on about the third revolution, and there is NO leak, No black smoke, and runs ,I suspect, better than new.

Thank you Gordo, actually, I bought the packing for your carb, because I didn't think there was one included in the kit, and didn't want to make another trip to town. When I opened the kit however, everything I needed for your carb was included, so now I have a spare packing. No problem, it will soon get used.
