Can anybody help me

I've got an older 706 Farmall that has a real TA problem. Sometimes it just doesn't want to get going , so I flip it between Hi and Low a few times and of it will go, I've also notice that if I turn the steering it usually won't go at all.

Because the tractor is old I don't want to put much money into, I was wondering is it possilbe to lock up the TA so that it will always go. Somehome make it so that I don't have a TA.

With out doing a couple checks it would be hard for me to tell you correctly just what is going on with your but sounds like you are having a pressure problem it could be as simpel as a weak spring or blowen gskt or O/RING or a weak MCV pump on the more seirous side it could be a real problem with the T/A and as far as the 706 not being worthe anything well that is not true but if ya just want to dump it well i would be glad to take it off your hands and bring it back to the living. just love fixen them

Greetings
You seem to know what you are talking about, is there any way for me to talk to you on the phone. That is if you want to, if you do send me an email, and I'll email you back my number.

Thanks.
You are probably right about a gasket, because when I changed the trans filter there was lots of blueish gasket pieces inside.

It's probably not the TA that's the problem. It's most likely the MCV valve on the left side of the torque tube, the one that has a plunger that goes up and down when you pull the TA lever.
