I also have a SA Industrial and we repainted it yellow and I have had a blast talking about it at a few show. Well its more like arguing. I would say paint it yellow and have fun with it!

Randy, YOu have the industrial version of the "A". They bore the name "International" rather than "Farmall" as did the agricultural version. In addition to the features you listed which were indeed exclusive to the industrial "A", they also had a reinforcement bar or leg which extended from the equipment mounting casting directly beneath the steering box back to where the engine meets the torque tube. Another feature I have noticed, but is not necessarily exclusive to the Industrial is that many had power take off, but no pulley drive. The yellow paint may or may not have been applied at the factory, as so many of these were purchased by counties and municipalities for mowing and other utility work, and were painted the same color as the other equipment. The military also had them and of course painted them olive drab. The IH factory would paint them just about any color when bought in a fleet, so they did appear in various colors. Perhaps "YELLOW????" isn"t your preference, but you can paint it just about any color but pink and get away with it, I suppose. I will say that the yellow ones do get a lot of attention at the tractor shows, and you"ll never run out of folks to talk about it to.

Sounds like you have an Industrial Version of the Farmall A. An International A.

Well, technically I don't think it is a "Farmall". McCormick Farmall was the name badge for row-crop tractors. Industrial tractors decals said "International".

Many International industrial versions were yellow, but they didn't have to be. IH would paint other colors if ordered that way. It was up to the customer.

Rusty Farmall that post's on here has a Farmall
red and yellow. Really looks nice too. I painted a Farmall A red, but I painted the wheels
(rims) yellow. I also painted the 16-inch moldboard plow yellow too. Hal
