the real purpose of Red Power Roundup was nicely put by Oran Sorenson when South Dakota hosted the show in 1997,

"We dedicate this show to commemorate the pioneer spirit of those in agricuture whose combined efforts guided the plow that broke the plains to make the midwest a 'Breadbasket of the World' While IH equipment brings us together, let us always remember that it's really the people that we'll long remember"

Howard: Well put, as I travel around this land, it's definately the old iron folks you remember more than a particular tractor. As I said on another thread I'm not particularly big on shows, but I love visiting people.

Cowman, sorry I ended up on that Nashville tour, and didn't make it to dinner. Where did you guys end up going? That Demo's was excellent, we ate there twice. Made it back Sun afternoon, in the HEAT. Hope your trip was as smooth as ours. Was real nice show, and was glad to meet you, and sit and chat. Who ended up with rpru in 2007? Chat later...-Scoob

Howard, we want to thank you for a wonderful evening spent chatting with you and all the other folks. It was one of our most memorable occasions. WE had a great time and the show was by far the greatest we have ever seen. I have never seen so many Farmall's in my life. This years show should go down as one of the best. All the folks we met were just wonderful. Anyone that could'nt make it sure missed a truly great show and wonderful dinner Friday night. Glad to hear you got home safely. Looking forward to seeing you again. Sorry for the long post.

It was a real pleasure to meet you last Saturday morning. Hope you had a safe trip home. I agree with Oran's statement. People make a lasting impression good or bad.
