Spent the last 2-1/2 days in the Tn. heat(felt just like the SC heat, it just wasn't quite as humid as home. Sitting in a hotel in Louisville, Ky now, visiting the wife's family before we head back to SC tomorrow. Anyway, I loved the RPRU. I've never been to one before, and have never been to a show this big. Spent 2-1/2 days hanging out with the cowman and meeting lots of incredibly nice people, many from this board. Had a good YT dinner friday night at Outback. There were some pictures taken that should show up here in a few days, I'd bet.

Howard,

Glad you made it home--was just talking to Andrea and Maria as I got back to GA about 430 and we were hoping you made it OK. Hope the Briley Parkway kept you out of some of that downtown Nashville traffic (or should I say Interstate Parking Lot?) We thoroughly enjoyed the company! I did get the pictures posted in another posting and it worked the first try (Maria was at the keyboard so that probably made it work)! Our neighbor George got more and better pictures than I did so maybe we can get some of his on here too!

Anyhow, glad you made it back and wish we'd had more time "out on the hill". Was a great weekend!!

Steve

yup, Briley pkw kept me out of downtown but it IS narrow! Lots of traffic even through the night all across MO. Finally let up after I got on US 36 in KS

This was my first RPRU and I loved it !!! Also like it being just 40 minutes from home. Thanks to all of the people who did pay the high fuel prices to bring the Old Red Iron out for us to enjoy!!! The show was great even if it did come a "toad frog strangler", I look forward to seeing it again!

I loved it .It was my first one,the first day I thought the carts were too expensive. The second day I thought they were the best deal at the show, bad back and knees didn't work well in that heat. Didn't get to watch all of the tractor pull how long did it last?

loved it!!!! only problem is the expense of traveling anymore. Person below who complained about lack of tractors should lug a 10000 tractor a 1000 miles plus meals plus rooms plus other cost.
