What is a C Farmall with a 2 point quick hitch and a wide front worth? I don't beleieve it is a Super. I have seen this from the road, and would like to inquire about it. Just wanted to know where to start with a price. Thanks a bunch.

Update on C. Here is the serial #SC193600J and under the serial number it had 1815. I had my dad run buy and look at it. He said that it started up well and ran smooth. He had a chance to run the lift up and down, he said the lift was real smooth. I haven't seen to many Super C's that had both a 2 pt. quick hitch and a WFE. What is your guy's input on this? They are asking $2700.

That 1815 is the rated engine speed. You need to check that tractor over very carefully. Ask if the engine has been completely rebuilt lately, look at the tires and rims. These are just some of the expensive things that can add to the cost.
That tractor was built in 1954, that was a good year, my daughter was born that year and I was in the Army. Hal

$2700 is a little steep, for that price it had better be in excellent condition. To me, the painted over decal would be a red flag. Paint means little, except it may reflect the overall care of the tractor. People sometimes paint tractors thinking they will bring more -- I prefer to pay less.

I believe this is a Super C now that you mention it. I had ran into someone that has looked it over a little, but not real well. They said that they could see the SuperC decal on the front, it was painted over. It also had the brake drums like that on a 450 Farmall. I am going to try and check this thing out this weekend. I will try and grab a serial number off of it. THanks a bunch for the info :)!!!

C's, SC's in running condition bring $1000-$2000 dollars "usually". I have heard them selling for as high as $3500. I have bought two at auction, one in 2001, one this year. $1650 and $1550 respectively. One had a wide front. I would be willing to pay $500 or so more for one with a fast hitch in good condition, the hitch can get in pretty bad shape. SC's have 6 digit serial numbers. There are several differences, but the easiest one, that you can tell at a glance, is that the SC has curved brake and clutch pedals, the C straight.

You should get the serial number, so we can tell whether it's a C or Super C. Hal

If the front end has the tie rods out in front of the axle it`s IH,and worth more to a collecter than a Swartz with the tie rods behind the axle. I wouldn`t take 2700.00 for my 53 Super C. kjm

I got to look at this guy. It has an IH front end on it that seems to be pretty tight. The tires on the front are new, the back ones don't match but are in good shape. The wheels are in good shape. I was wrong on the serial# it starts with FC, not SC. It has a new carb on it. THe quick hitch seems to be in fair cond, the bearings on the lower end under the axil are a little wore. The don't seem to be as bad as some I have seen. He has a 6ft mower and the 3pt setup for the quick hitch, I havn't seen that yet. I am going to go hear it run this afternoon. What do you think fellas?? Thanks:)

I payed $1800 for my Super C with the fast hitch and a McCormick loade, and grader blade. The tractor runs great. When you look at the tractor check for oil leaks even though the seal are realitivty cheap they are a pain to replace. I see wide fronts alone for C and supers get up to $500 around here. Good luck there great tractors. Andrew
