How do you remove the bolts on the side plate on the engine block that covers the water jacket. MY H has all 5/16 bolts all of which are seized. I laid the block on its side and soaked the bolts in penitrating oil for 3 days and they still won't come out. I hate to break all the bolts and have to drill it out. Any Ideas? Thanks

Gary

A good way to heat them is to put a spot of weld on the head.

The bolt will expand due to the heat and break the rust bond. You don't need to try to turn it until it cools.

I would try to heat them. At the worse, you may have to buy another water jacket plate but it will keep you from breaking your bolts. Just put heat to the heads of the bolts and then hit them with a small hammer. Hopefully, that will give you some breath and they will come out.
