I"m trying to replace the threaded portion of my fan pulley flange (the one that tightens the fan belt)on my Farmall H. The old one is cracked so it will not keep the fan belt tight anymore. I was wondering how that whole fan pulley assembly comes apart.

Once you have removed the hub w/pulleys from the pump housing, there is a pin in the fixed half of the pulley. You may have to take a wire brush to it to find the end of the pin. It may have been painted over. Look for it near the edge of the generator pulley. The pin is short enough to come out inside the hub. Also, the hole for the pin is drilled at a bit of an angle - why, I don't know.

Thanks, I'll look a bit harder. I have been over that thing quite a bit trying to find a way it comes apart!

Gordo, I bought a new one from Paynesville Tractor parts. They have a website at:>Link

I>Link think I paid around $24 for mine. Good luck!

Just start taking the thing apart; it is not very complicated. A parts book or copy of your local dealer"s page will help you a lot.
Send your e-mail & I can get you a blowup of the pump.
