restoring Farm-all super C

hi all i am new here to the forum so please bare with me if this question was asked already

my uncle as a farmall super c (not sure what year it is)and i am going to be talking to him about restoring it to running and show order but i need to know where to look for the serial number so i can figure out when it was built so i can get the right stuff to restore it this will be my first but hopefull not last project as my uncle has a farmall 400 that he uses to work on the farm and att it needs is a paint job and some decales any help would be gratefull

acctually nat there is a decale that says super c on the left side of the engine cover but would that mean anything???

Even if you can't find the serial number, most parts are interchangeable from year to year. All you need to do is say it's for a Super C, if in fact that's what you have.

Once you get that SN you can click on serial numbers under Research & Info to your left.
You should get yourself a shop manual too.
Those Super C's are nice tractors. Hal

eric - the serial number should be on a plate attached to the right side of the tool box under the seat. (right side when sitting in the seat) It should be an aluminum plate with stamped lettering/numbering.
