Can anyone tell me how long the dip stick for the belly pump needs to be and how long the 3/4" nipple needs to be to get a accurate reading on my fluid? I have added a 3 point hitch to this old girl and I want to keep her working right.

Thanks

I doubt anyone alive knows for sure because dipsticks get replaced and it might not be the original. Those pumps are pretty forgiving and will run nearly full with no problems. I'd just add oil until the lifts works properly, than add another quart or two, If it runs out the top...stop.

Cowman, that's how I do it. The dipstick just gets in the way most of the time, in fact, I didn't even know there was supposed to be a dipstick until I began collecting, and I've been around these old Farmalls for 50 years.
