A friend of mine came by and drug me out for a half day of fun. Sure was fun watching all the old stuff work. There was about as many steam engines as gas tractors there and hundreds of Hit & Miss engines, from 20 horse down. I posted about 10 pics in the tractor section

Scott: Some nice photo work, thanks for sharing those with us. Like Howard I like those shows with lots of shade trees. got to have somewhere to socialize, meeting the folks behind these old tractors, just as important as the tractor.

No doubt about it, couldn't walk 10 feet an any direction without getting into a conversation. Real nice folks there. We walked and talked so much, not paying attention and laughing that my stomach hurt pretty bad at the end of the day.

Scott: I have a suggestion for show organizers, everyone should be allowed to bring a 20L - 5 gal. oil pail with them. Great seating for old folks like myself wanting to have a jam session under the shade trees. I use these in my shop for guest seats, don't want anyone to get too comfortable. One could have the top removable in case he bought something from vendors. Organizers would have to make one rule, you take home as many pails as you bring. Keep the cost down on seating, plus you could leave it under shade tree for next guy or just carry it with you. Just take home as many as you bring. I think old iron fans are responcible enough not to let this become a garbage issue.

Ya, Thats a great idea. I dont think many would forget their bucket, especially when it has their goodies in it. I know my feet were sore at the end of the day. Fortunally, there were enough wagons and other implements in the woods to sit on shoot the bull. Ill remember that when I hit the flea's and other shows.

Thanks Hugh,
