My folks bought a chest freezer in March of 1950. It worked every day for them, and my son in law took it in 2001. Still is working very day. It had a fan motor replaced in 1959 and again in 2001. Otherwise in fine working condition with no rust.

I have an IH frig that is still working great today. I would like to know how old it is though. Where do you look for numbers and how do you get the year from that.

I have an IHC fridge in My shop..... the date/year of manufacture is clearly stamped on the serial number tag on the top of the back side of it.
