I have a Super M with a three point conversion and I am wondering how well this will work with a 3 bottom/3 point plow? Recommendations?

I have a two bottom plow on my Super H with a 3 pt conversion. As the others said, it works OK on flat ground, but any unevenness in the ground and the plow either goes in too deep or comes out of the ground. I use mine mostly for plowing gardens as it is good to manuver on small gardens. The problem I have is at the end of the garden as the rear wheel comes out of the furrow then the plow comes out unless I push the hydraulic leaver all the way in. Also on my garden the ground drops off at the end, so I again have to lower the plow at the end. I have similar problems with my Woods brush cutter mower and my 3 pt rototiller (except the rototiller has skid plates on the side to control depth). All in all the 3 pt works, but not up to standards of tractors with factory made ones. Roger

We had 2 bottom plows when I was growing up,an old Oliver pull type 3 bottom and a 3 point with a wheel on the back. (I dont know if all of them are made like that or not) but anyway, the Oliver did a better job,but the 3 pt one worked fine on flat ground.

Does the conversion have draft control or load sensing? Archives indicate most conversions don't, problems sometimes happen, performance suffers. Plowing might be a bit uneven on rolling ground.

I put guage wheel on my 2 bottom plow that I pull with a Farmall 200 with 2pt/3pt conversion. Run hitch in float mode, and let guage wheel control the depth. Not the whole answer but better than without. Your real best bet is a trailer type plow.

No draft control or load sensing. The land is flat.
