Closed center hydraulics in the 86 series was 81 only. The last year they were built. We have a 81 986 and the hydraulics are awsome. Have not had any trouble with it yet.

We had a 1486 with them. They had an extra hyd filter under the engine. Our 1486 came with a DT-466 and was at 200 PTO HP. It was the poorest tractor we ever owned. We had nothing but trouble with the hydraulic system, lost a rear end, ect. When we traded it off at 6500hrs on the magnum we had gone through everything but the motor, and spent about as much as the magnum cost on repairs. The three point was the worst, it would screw up every fall when we started plowing with the 145 hyd reset roll over plow. Jake

Not real sure but either 79 or 80 . I just know that when something goes wrong it is a real PETA to fix.
