i had the gas tank off of my super m and cleaned it out.i bought some gas tank liner called Red Kote out of a Valu Built tractor parts magazine.it said to let it dry for 24 hours.i let it dry for probably 35 hours.i put eveything back on and its running fine but the gas is red colored. should it be like that since the tank liner was red? or will it just be like that for this first little bit of gas ran through it?

I'm thinking different. Red-Kote take about 24-48 hours to dry even when you have a blower helping you. As for your gas being red, well, you guessed it, your liner is/was not dry and your gas has mixed with some. I've had this happen with other tanks I have done. The good news is I have only had one problem with Red-kote and it not drying. The bad news is the liner made my valves gum up and stick. If you have a really good, old tractor with a good pressure in your cylinders, it should burn right through. Tractors from those days could run on just about anything from old gas to gas distl mixes. They wouldn't run great but they would run none the less and clear the problem. If I where you I would remove your tank and the gas that is in it. After it has naturally dried (gas)
I would force air through it using a blower. I use a hair drier with a blow setting not using hot air. Don't want to explode your tank or yourself. After about an extra 24 or so hours test your tank with about a Qt of gas and see what happens. In the future I would suggest using POR15's tank sealer liner. It drys really nice and gives you a real nice 1/16" seal and liner plus doesn't take hours and hours and hours to finish! Just my 2 cents....
