They gave me some lame excuse about permission levels being changed. Just a coincedence that this never happens with the pro account. Uhuh sure it does not. AT least once a year I get the forced sales pitch.

Did you get the pun about hey or Hay?

Kelly, Great site. I love the barrel ride photo. We have a big 4th of July get-together, lots of kids. Wonder if you could put me in touch with Dan Robertson. Hope to make a barrel train as I have lots of barrels but they are plastic. We'll need to fabricate alittle "wagon" to set them in. And hook them together. Maybe he has ideas.

You've made a nice site there - I hadn't seen it before. But I have to ask about this piece of advice on pulling stumps:

"It is safe to pull anything when hooked to the drawbar it pulls the front of the tractor down."

Obviously it is better to hook as low as possible, but if you have enough traction won't the machine still come over? When he was a teenager, my father-in-law flipped a steel wheel while digging a ditch with a bucket. Says it was hooked to a drawbar.

I'm no expert so please correct me if I'm wrong...

third party image

That depends on the tractor and how the draw bar is attached to the tractor.
I have been corrected on the photo on my web site. I had the chain wrapped around the draw bar suppost and the draw bar. That was incorrect.
The draw bar support is attached to the axels giving the tractor the pivot point of the wheels. Thats bad.
Had I used a clevis and hooked just to the draw bar itself that would be correct as the draw bar is connected ahead of the wheels. When you pull on the draw bar it forces the front down. The tires would spin before she would go over. Thats on a H or M with standard draw bar. Not sure about trators with different draw bars. My 400 has a fast hitch. Its attached to the rear axle bolts but some how pulls from in front of the wheels.
Thanks for bringing that up. I need to update that part of my site.
