New seat back rest 350 ute?

I ordered new seat and back rest..Got new part's seat is fine. My old back rest was mounted with 4 bolts screwed to back of metal backing on back rest..and cushion rividet on that.My question is the new back rest does not have that. What should I do?? The rest has only plywood behind it

I f I remember ours (long gone) it had a slightly curved rear tube running up and around the rear with a rectangular piece of metal on it that was also slightly curved. If your new rest is curved, just use short ~1/2" long #10 stainless steel sheetmetal screws in the holes in the metal plate. If the new one is not curved, I'd make a curved shim from old tire sidewall rubber belt sanded to make up the gap. Only use screws long enough to get into the plywood of the new back. or kidney damage may occur when the point sticks through the cushion!!!!
