Hey good friends on this farmall Board.I'll be off for a few days as I took a nasty fall onto cement from a roof on Tues. I'm going in for surgery this morning to put a steel plate in my right arm and check out a compression fracture on a vertabrae. At the price of steel these days who knows what this could cost? Anyways it could have been worse and I hope to heal quickly and get back to work and the Farmalls as soon as possible. The doctor said no tractor pulling for awhile. Can you beleive the nerve of some people. Hopefully my Farmall friends here will help get my tractors ready and qualified next weekend for our bigger pull coming up on August 20. For others of you who have "big Things" going on in your lives my thoughts and prayers are with you . Talk to you soon Migraine

Migraine, A fall like that is enough to give a guy a heckova headache. It hurts just to read your post. I hope everything heals fast, and you can get back to farmalls and all the other less important things in life. Best wishes.

Well, I sure wish you a speedy recovery and minimal pain. Steel plates are no fun, but at least you don't have to get it put in your skull. Then you would really be living up to your name migraine.

Glad you survived to fight the good fight another day. We'll miss ya and be happy when you get back.

Take care, God bless.
Brian

Good luck with the healing. With a bit of extra steel, sounds like an opportunity to increase your "magnetic personality",

Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope surgery goes well and you can recover ad get back to your fun soon.

Oh, and typically they will put titanium in instead of the stainless steel on vertabrae...$$$

Sudden stops are usually no good. We wish you a speedy recovery. Maybe get a laptop and give us your insight from the horizontal. My neighbor, when he and I were 15, was pulling a 7' Grahm Plow about 9" deep (an early field cultivator) with a M&W geared M, in third gear. He snagged a burried rock (that turned out to be 7.5' across the short way and 16 long). The M stopped within about three inches (the bending of the drawbar pin) sending my buddy into the spokes of the steering wheel. He survived with a loose tooth and broken nose. His dad spent more than two weeks and in 1960's dollars more than a thousand picking that rock. Another story!
Get Well Soon,
Jim Nicholson

Sorry to hear of your mishap and hope the recovery is speedy and complete. Have your doc check with some of the local salvage yards to see if he can save you a few bucks on those metal parts! Suppose he could use a part of another Farmall to make you right? Boy that would be a parade pleaser. Dick Davis
