We are working on restoring our 1949 C, and the insert for the swinging drawbar, is and has been really butchered up and welded in the past. Does anyone have a good one that they could maybe measure from the center of the hole used to attach the implement to the center of the first adjusting hole further forward? We would like to get pretty close to original to make a new one.

Thanks

Mark Swenson

Drawbar Measurement in reply to Eastsider, 06-22-2005 13:58:25

This is a picture of the drawbar plate that was on a '48 C I picked up last year. Picture is taken looking at the bottom of the drawbar assembly. Don't know if this was original or if there were different types, but it looks like the picture in the parts manual (PN 351 232 R1). Perhaps some of the more experienced folks here could tell. The large holes are on 2 7/8" centers. The small hole is 1 1/8" on center to the nearest large hole. It was a little tough to measure, as the holes are a bit egg-
shaped. Obviously the center-to-center should match the distance between the two mounting holes on your drawbar. Jeff
