I need to know the correct tire size for an IH side delivery rake. It is approximately 30 years old and is driven by a chain from the wheels to the gearbox.

Jim,
old is right - you don't need $50.00 / 6 ply implement tires to put on a rake!!
I've got old car tires (5.90x15 4 plys) on my rake and it doesn't know the difference. Think I paid about 7 bucks each for 'em. The 5.90 's are smaller in size and may well solve your height problem.

If its like my rake which is also an IH, it has 15 inch tires on it. I use used car tire on it and it work good that way and cost is very low

Yes it has 15" tires, but I need to know the height. I am at the end of adjustment ani the rake is still too high, so I thought as long as I had to change the tires I might as well put the correct ones on, or match the correct height with used car tires.

You can run them half flat, too, to help with the height.
