My H has been converted to 12 volt ( before I got it) and since I plan to leave it that way I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend a good spark plug to use. I guess my question is would the 12 volt take a different plug than the original 6 volt setup. Thanks in advance for the advice. Ross

Yep! D-21 is a nice hot plug and will reduce fouling.

12 volts will make no difference. Use the recommended plug, unless you will be using the tractor more lightly than usual. This will probably be the case, so you may want to jump up a couple heat ranges. I've had best luck with Autolite plugs, but your mileage may vary with this recommendation.

Ross - Spark plugs don't know (or care...) whether ignition primary is 6 or 12 volts.

With the lousy gasoline we get today the recommended plug for an H is the Champion D-21, AC C86, or other mfr's equivalent.

Note - Make sure you either have a "12 volt" coil or else a ballast resistor wired in series with the primary on the 6 volt coil on your H. Otherwise you will experience very short breaker point life and run the risk of overheating/burning out the coil.
