All, I need your input here This afternoon hooked up the batwing shredder on my 966. Right off from the bat then the hydrolics strarted acting up. At first the hydrolics would raise it up. Also the steering started havein hard spots, just not turning smoothly, kinda felt like your pulse. Later it quite picking it up at all, would get little movement like it was trying too or wasn't getting the fluid pressure right. And...Yes, the tranny is full of oil!
So what is it, need a new filter? or is my pump going bad. Just what do ya'll think
Will check back in here shortly!
Later,
John A.

Guys, Thanks for the input. Changed the filter, and washed the screen this AM. My girl is back to her rip snorting, fire breathing self.
Later,
John A.

I just had the same problem with the 560. I think the pumps are similar. We had to replace both the hydraulic and power steering pump because they failed at the same time. I hope for your sake that it's just the filter.

John The tractor has 2 pumps 1 for steering and 1 for the hydraulics and you indecate both are acting up so try filter first.
