We have a IHC 826 Gold Demonstrator. Where can I find out it's sale value. No rust, straight tin, starts great, runs great. Just needs a new seat and paint and it's show ready. We bought a farm in NY. We bought this with the farm. We are the second owners. We bought a CaseIH 5130 with MFWD and don't really need the 826. What's it worth?

If you don't want it anymore just bring it too Indiana and we'll take her off your hands, I'd love to have a gold 826. AShame I couldn't afford what you'd ask for the old girl, David

Boy, your not like most farmers that I know. The ones that I know of have a fit when one tractor brakes down and they need it back as soon as possible even though they have 9 other tractors on the farm. Ya just can't get them to unhook a tractor from some piece of equipment and use that one for a while.

Don't kid yourself. We have a few extra, but we want to get our money out of this one and get it out there to restore if someone wants to. When I drive by a farm and see old machinery rotting away behind the barn it ticks me off because 30 years ago we had to really scrounge parts, machinery, etc. to get our operation off the ground. We used to hunt out those machines on salvage yards or as "junk" at farm auctions. If I trade this off on another piece of machinery, the dealer will advertise it as a prize piece of "history". I'd like to sell it to a IH/Farmall guy and leave out the middle man.

That's excactly what a dealer would do. I am sure there is someone on the site looking for one. I don't know how much it adds to the value though, I am sure it adds some. There was a 1456 that sold near me that had been a gold demonstrator. There was gold underneath the hoods, gold under the red paint, and the steering column was painted correctly. It had 9000 hours, with an overhaul and brought $5600. It was a straight tractor. The gold never added anything to the value of that tractor, but truth be told it may have if it would have been advertised as one. Another neighbor sold his plain jane 1456 in the Des Moines Register. It had 3800 hours, clean as a pin, he asked $10,500. The first guy that called bought it, and his phone rang a ton of times after that. All depends I guess.
