The exhaust pipe on my H rotted where it threads into the manifold and broke off leaving about a 1 to 2 inches of pipe in the threads still. Can this be rethreaded? Are there any other Farmall tractors with the same manifold?

The manifold is 2in IPS, when you go to your friendly plumber to get the tap ask him to cut you a 10in piece of 2in Sch 40 pipe , have him cut a deep thread on it, this will allow it to be screwed in about three turns farther, Be very carefull when trying to tap the manifold as they will break very easy.

Should be a 2" pipe size; borrow a thread tap from your friendly plumber if you can.
Go to the hardware store & buy a (8-10" long, I think) replacement pipe and you are in business.
Take your time on re-threading & use lubricant.

I have a very good used/reconditioned manifold for an H. Send me an e-mail if you are interested.

Tweeter, Try cutting down inside the pipe with a hacksaw blade, might take a little time but worth the effort. You might have to make more than one cut, then try to collapse the pipe with a punch. The threads should be good enough to hold a new piece of pipe. I,d put some never seize on the pipe before you install it. MHO PUTTER

Yes, they do make a huge tap that can do the job, All new aftermarket manifolds are interchangable wit hthe small Zenith and Big Shebler carbs to fit the H. Chad
