you need to charge the battery. Sounds like your generator is not keeping the battery up to snuff. You can either repair it or just put an overnight charge in it once in a while. Oh, and don't use the lights.

You oviously have a coil ignition system (not mag) and your tractor is running off the battery. You need to repair your charging system which is not currently charging.

If it has lights like an H, check to see that you do not have a bare wire on the back light or the headlights. Dying after 10 minutes could be a bad coil. Check to see if you have spark when it dies.

You might also need a new keyboard, your caps and punctuation are not coming through in your posts.

No, Riverbend, EE Cummings is not dead. He lives on in free thinkers everywhere. I have two questions: Who made the rules?
Why should I follow them?
Here is an example:
When I went to the Post Office yesterday the flag was back up at the top of the pole (it had been at half-mast for an ex state governor) I commented that it seems we dip the flag all too often for this guy and that guy, Where do you draw the line? the Postal persons reply was "We don't draw the line, we let someone else draw it for us"
Anyway, that's my rant and before you jump down my throat just remember that if we were all the same, some of us would not be necessary.

Howard,

Those are two good questions.

I have no idea who made the rules for the English language, but my mother said that she would whip my @$$ if I didn't mind the teachers and get good grades in school. In that case, she made the rules.

I guess that I am old fashioned. I like to be able to figure out what a guy is saying without too much guess work. It seems like those with the guns or the money make the rules, mostly. On a slightly related note, I think that it was Utah Phillips that said ' An anarchist is some one who does not need a policeman to tell him what to do.' That always made sense to me.

Why you should follow them is up to you. I kind of like it when everybody drives on their own side of the road. I'm also in favor of ethics - you know, the stuff were you treat people the way that you would like to be treated.

To be in your face, I'd say that you follow all kinds of rules, some of them have never been even considered by lots of folks. I saw one of your recent posts where you thought that you might have sold someone the wrong PTO casting last year and were trying to find them. Who made those rules ? Why are you following them ? Do honesty and integrety have any meaning today ? I've got lots of questions.

Speaking of which, do you have anymore copies of 'A Tractor Named Allis' ?

Greg

ps Gene is right, unless they replaced the fuse with a piece of wire turning on the lights probably indicates a weak charging system.

By the same token, if everyone was special, then no one would be.

Is the chargeing system working?? If it doesn't then theres the problem. If it is it maybe weak or the lights are miss wired
