I have a problem.. my Cub Cadet 1512 runs until it warms up then it shuts down . It runs awhile then acts like it runs out of fuel as tho the injector pump quits working. It has a Kabota Diesel motor.
I changed fuel filters.. primary pump, fuel hoses . It's as tho it's drawing air then shuts down .,. This just started about 4 weeks ago I've owened this 9 yrs. Anyone have any ideas what else to look for or any suggestions. The injector pump is molded to the motor. Unable to locate parts kit. Please advise. Thanks

When your engine shuts down does it struggle and shoot a lot of black smoke? If it is the case;try to run it whitout the muffler on for a period. If it run better your muffler is clog up.Mine did it and I cut open bot end of the muffler, empty everyting inside and weld it back togeter.I just hope it is noting serious for you.

Right after it quits, pull the line off of the electric fuel pump to see if the pump is working. These pumps sometime cut out when they get hot.

Are you sure it isn't sucking air from those fuel filters? Remove the return line and see if it's
full of air bubbles when you crank over the engine.

Have you tried bleeding the injector lines? Your IH dealer or local Kubota dealer should have kits. Here they're the same. Hal

PS: Is there a model number or SN on the engine?

One other question for ya. Does the engine crank over every time you hit the key or does it have its spells were it won't crank when you go the start it?

What do these models have for a engine shut off, does it shut off by a pull cable, or does it shut off by the key switch. If its a key opperated then you might want to look into the solenoid on the pump that turns it on and off. Looking for a bad solenoin or a bad electrical connection. Another thing to check if you haven't is inside the tank for anything floating around that could plug up the hole and floats away after killing the engine.
