I am taking my H to a pull this weekend. The H is stock and original. It has 12.4 tires on 12" rims, original size front tires and original rims, hydraulic pump, muffler, lights, pto shield mounted tool box, 1 set of rear wheel weights, tricycle front end, pulley, stock swinging drawbars(reinforced) and i think thats it but i might be forgetting something, what weight class do you think i will be able to put her in?

4500 lbs., if the rear tires are dry, and depending on how much you weigh.

Took my H to a pull this past weekend. She"s got everything yours has but i got fluid in my tires. I was classed as 5000lbs. But their wasn"t a 5000 lb class so i pulled in the 5500lb class. Pulled that ol" sled 147"8". Half way but good for bein 1000lbs over your pullin class.

I weight 160lbs. My rear tires are dry. And if im pulling in 4500 i dont think ill do too good. That class is filled with JD A's Farmall M's and this one really nice SMTA i know of.
It will still be fun though, it will be my first time pulling i i think i have a friend with a JD B that might come with me and pull in the 4500lbs class, his jd b is totaly stock too so no matter how bad i do overall i think i will still have a good comparison. I cant stand when people bring striped down modified tractors to stock pulls.

No way Ms and SMTAs are pulling in the 4500lb class. Don't they weigh 5000-6000lbs dry?

The ones i know of are stripped down alot and built up real good. The SMTA even has them light weight tin rims. I dont think that should be able to pull in stock class but they do.

Hey Kevin - Don’t sell yourself short! Until you actually pull can never be sure what will happen:

A couple years ago loaned my bone stock Super H to a buddy of mine (and John Deere enthusiast) to run at the local firemens’ carnival pull. It pulled at 4,500# against a bunch of JD A’s, several Farmall H’s and M’s, a pair of Oliver 77’s and a Massey. Most of ‘em had been tinkered with (lightened) specifically for pulling.

To my surprise and great delight the SH got the only full pull in it’s class. Wasn’t as fast or as noisy as most of the competition, but it got the job done. And to add insult to injury the SH got called upon to drag the next puller (a JD A) off the track after it stalled halfway down and could not be restarted.

Moral of the story: Get out there and give it a try - you might be pleasantly surprised!!
