I wonder how many times this has been discussed on this forum since it was started several years ago. New users should do a little scanning and searching for answers before just posting. imho.

Ron: Given the frequency of this subject here at YT in the past year, it's hard to imagine there is anyone out there who doesn't know the answer.

There was only one made, but was destroyed, what i think was cool about it was that the ta was automatic, once the tractor went down so many rpm's under load, the ta kicked in.

The Super H-Ta was a prototype to the more famous Farmall 300. According to my books, only 3 were ever produced, and two of them were scraped. I have seen my fair share of these..."homemade" tractors at pulls that I have been to. I seen one on the internet asking $11,000 for one. All you would have to do is take a Farmall 300 rear end and combine it with a Farmall H front end, a walla, you have an H-TA. As for the torque, you shifted it like any other IH tractor that has the option, is doesn't kick in automatically/ or downshifts on it's own.

The H prototype did shift on it's own as Mitch describes. It was different in that way from later TA's actually put on the market.

If you have one, it would indicate that at least one was made. That doesnt mean, however, that it was factory made, but simply that it was made.

Ron, IH produced the same number of SHTA"s as they did SBNTADV"s. Add the number of each, and it still equals zero.

Super HTA...no. NEVER MADE!!

HTA.....Yes, but only as a prototype that was destroyed by IH.

ALL of the SHTA's built are fakes. They are made from SH and 300 tractor parts.
