l recently bought a nice w4 but the front name plate says international, the magnetto says case and the fellow i bought it from says it,s a mccormick deering. To the best of my knowledge this is a very original tractor. My question is for the purpose of tune-up spec,s and ordering parts which is the most correct i.d. to use. Thanks in advance for all your help Dennis

Since you are in Canada..... IH usually badged tractors for markets other than USA as "International". In USA this W4 would probably have been badged "McCormick".

WBH is the prefix for a McCormick W4 -- The grille should say McCormick, but there are no guarantees, perhaps the grille was changed. IH dropped the Deering in 1949, at least on the letter series.

What does the serial number tag say.if it has International plate on the front it may be an I-4 as they used the plate on the Industrials.
