What's the difference between a Super A and a regular A ?? Any way to tell the difference at a glance ?? Has Wide front end. What kind of letters and serial number should be on tag ????

Sam: Just in case someone may have removed hydraulics from a Super A, two big differences. Under the distributor or magnito, which ever it may have would be a covered hole where hydraulic pump mounts and is driven off timing gears. Secondly the Super A has a flat top torque tube. It was made flat for mounting the touch control hydraulic unit. Serial tag for both tractors is under seat on left seat support. One if here, it could be a Super A1 in which case serial tag will be on left side of clutch housing. Please note that is A1 not AI.

Serial numbers on the Super A start with FAA250001. The serial number tag is located on one of the seat supports.

That's besides the obvious, which is as scotty says, the hydraulic unit underneath the gas tank...

Sam, The biggest difference is the hydraulic touch control unit under the gas tank! On an A its just open space under the gas tank.
