I've used a linoleum knife a couple times; the kind with the blade that curves into a point. Hit the 560 key with my knee a few times.

Take and soak the heck out of it with wd-40. Then after it has set awhile, take a small screw driver and work the switch back and forth, on, off, you know what I mean. Now With a heavy darning needle, place it on the bottom side of the key, as it sits in the upright position, use the bottom of the bezel on the switch as a fulcrum and gently work it out. If it only will come so far at first, don't hurry it. Push it back again and try over. It has probably been in their for some time and hasn't been removed and installed so the tumblers are sort of corroded. But with a little work it wll come I assure you. When you get a new key, put it in a vice and saw about half of the face of the key off, that way you will not be hitting the dern thing when getting on and off the tractor OUCH!! Been a problem for so long. Good luck. OLD DUTCH

Why not take the sw to a locksmith and let him fix it and make a new key or else just buy a new keyed sw.

How did it break? I cant imagine it takes that much torque to turn the key from off to on and then to start. ????

If the key has some iron content, try a magnet.

use a piece of ~.oo4 piano wire, make the smallest hook imaginable and go fishing.
Or take the key/lock out of the dash and with PB Blaster or = tap the opening against a wooden block
