I have a chance to pick up a good running Int 300 with a front end loader. First ques? is it worth $1000? It does not have a hood or grill... so are these available somewhere?

Sounds like a great deal. The sheet metal is around at junk yards or on ebay. Do we have a new member of the Ute club?

Welllll... not exactly a new member, just love old tractors. Actually I own a Fergie TO30, so most of the time I am on the Ferguson chat board. Just happen to see this old IH listed locally with a front end loader and thought I better ask, before jumping into a second tractor. Thanks for your reply. I first looked up some info. on it to see what size of tractor it was, and whether it was something I might like. Would you happen to know the HP rating of this 300 model?

Jerry

The 300 is about a 35 HP tractor. My grandfather had one with a loader for many years. It was one of the first tractors I ever drove. Make sure the steering is good. One of the weak points on these utilities is the steering.
