I have {believe} 1941 B in fair condition that will not be big enough to do the farming I want to do.the carb is rebuilt and the mag is also . If I put new wheel bearings in the front end and it still need's some oil seals in the rear end , sheet metal is in good shape ,smokes blue a little what can I expect to get out of it ? Found a super M fer $1,800.00 that is in good working condition.Wish I could afford ta get the M and keep the B. Thankyou fer any input in this matter. Fred

I saw a bare B sell on a sale a year and a half ago in SE SD that ran good but nothing fancy. Grill was dinged a bit and the paint job had been done with a brush. The owner’s grandson bought it for about $1350 and some at the sale were crabbing that he “stole” it. Most bare B’s around here seem to bring around that $1700 to $2000 mark if they are in shape.

When one stops and thinks about it, a cheap riding mower at TSC or some other place will cost a minimum of $1500 for a 42” deck. A woods mower and a B are a whole lot more rig, and if you have a single front on that B it will turn almost as short as a ZTR mower! Go figure…

Don't know where you are, but I am looking for a B for a project tractor. Michigan or close. E-mail me.

I just traded a 46' B with Woods belly mower in on a different outfit. The dealer allowed 2900.00 on trade, and I see that he has it listed for the same amount. I doubt that it will bring that much. I go along with a price of 1000.00-1500.00 for just the tractor, if everything is in good working condition.

Boy Fred....it seems hard to put a price on a tractor; especially without knowing a little more about the old girl. A pic would help to get an idea of what condition it is in, I guess. But heck, I'll give it a shot.
If your B is in nice shape, fully functional with no glaring defects; I would think it is worth anywhere from $1000 to $1500 bare. I am in western NY, that is what you could expect to pay around here. I know of one for sale locally for $2000; but it will not sell for that much. I saw one sell this spring at an auction with a snowplow for $950 and it was in nice shape with good rubber and everything (why I didn't buy it I don't know....I regret it at least once a week).
Hope that helps. The M sounds like it is priced fairly if it doesn't need any immediate work.
Just my .02
