Have any of you clever guys built a bracket on the drawbar assembly of your H to attach/quick-attach the 2 lower pins of a 3 point implement? I was given a brush-hog mower and already have an old Deere sickle-bar - both with the single rear wheel.

I was dreaming up a 'U' shaped opening with a pin through the top. Yeah it would have to be lifted on...but I don't have the money for a saginaw aftermarket right now.

Thanks for any suggestions - post pics if you can!
Eric

p.s. Yes, I'll get an overruning clutch

I've been thinking of doing something like that on my F-12. It would be the same concept, I just haven't taken the time. What I had in mind was to get a pair of the category 1 lower links from the local farm supply store (although you could make something up too). I would mount them above the existing U-shaped drawbar on the Farmall. That way the weight of the mower is held by the drawbar, but it allows the links to float upward so that the weight of the tractor doesn't wind up on the mower when you go through a ditch, leaving the wheels spinning. Depending on how fancy you want to be, you could make it adjustable so you can change the height of the implement. Sorry if this seems cryptic- it's clear as a bell in my head. I can explain more if you'd like. It would be a fairly simple project I think. Hope this helps.
Paul
