Have a cub hydraulic box that works fine, but it is leaking fuild out the front, and soaking the leather boot. Is there any place that I can get a seal? If this is my problem!!

Jim:

As George aptly stated, the rebuild kit is the way to go. Get the screen too. After the kit comes in, you might wish to have a look at the Touch Control Maintenance Manuals that are on the server. They can be found under the Blue Ribbon Service Manuals and under Maintenance Manuals.

Hope they are of some help to you.

I would like to get a copy of the rebuild instructions from the kit you get, along with the kit number if it is not too much to ask. Be a nice addition to the server I would think.

Jim,

The units don't have seals as we normally think of them... just O-rings. You might as well get the kit and replace all of them and the gaskets. You'll probably have to get an inlet screen too that isn't included in the kits. The screen will cost as much as the kit.

There are two different kits depending on the part number on the side of the unit.

Jim, make sure you take the number off the side of the hydraulic unit with you to the IH dealer, as they made several different re-build kits. You'll get a set of directions with the kit. Not too hard to do. Just keep everything as clean as you can, and pre-lube during re-assembley with Hy-Tran.
