Can anyone tell me if a W6 ring & pinion will fit an M ? Also, anything about faster trans. gears will be helpful also. And,does other types of M"s have different gearing or trans.gears? Thanks for helping.

There was an optional high speed 4th for the M, as well as an optional low speed first. Not very easy to find though. Both upper and lower shaft gears must be changed and for the low speed 1st, the bottom shaft must be changes out, as the 1st speed gear is cut into the shaft. I think W-6 gears are different than the M but would fit and may give you a higher speed but you have to change at least two gears, maybe three to get things to work. As John said, the I-6 has high speed 4th, about 7.5 mph even with the smaller tires on the 6.

YES,Super M gears are faster but will have to change both upper and lower gears, maybe shafts too dont remember, again Super ms are different because of faster speeds.ALSO I6s have faster gears, but ive never been inside one of those to accually know whats different. There were also faster and slower gears,4th and 1st available for Ms,but may be hard to find. What are you trying to do?
