I got a 2bottom IH trailorplow probably made early 40s and found the parts all over and rigged them together real good. Looked perfect but when I hitched it up to my tractor it won't adjust low enough to dig into the ground, even at the lowest adjustment. Can anybody give me a clue whats wrong? Jeff old farmer

The left front wheel and axle (looking forward from behind the plow) are equipped with a tripping mechanism that allows the plow to plunge into the ground when a rope is pulled. If you do not have this on your pieced together unit, that is the problem!!!!. Pull up some photos to determine what is missing. there is a round pan shaped mechanism in the wheel, and a link to the plow frame, and a lever (for a rope) sticking out on top. If you have this stuff it may be mounted on the wrong side of the frame. Post a picture, and you will be helped more accurately. LOL
