I may have an opportunity to buy an IH 350D. Where can I find some specifications or information on this model? How much would be a reasonable price for one that seems to be getting coolant in the oil? I know it could be as easy as a head gasket to a real expensive engine rebuild. Is there anything else I should look for?
I currently own a 240U that does not have a loader that the 350D does have.

thanks
ken

350U Diesel is rated at 44 HP. Only built 3,033 of them. Makes them somewhat rare, but hard to find parts for. I'm told that engine kits are expensive.Really like mine, but dread the day it has to be rebuilt. I wouldn't give much for one that's getting coolant in the oil. Maybe $1000 tops, if it has good tires/rims , sheetmetal w/emblems, T/A & trans, power steering, etc. What are they asking for it, if you don't mind me asking.

They are asking $2300. I don't know if it has power steering. The radiator was drained,But I did look at the engine oil dipstick-no sign of water. He says it runs good, but hasen't in 3 or 4 years. Both rear tires hold air though they are badly cracked. Sheet metal is excellent allaround.

Thanks, Mike

Just bought one myself, has Continental engine 193c.i. I have heard rebuilt kits are very high, the roosa-master pump will leak at sometime or another, kit cost #31, $375-400 to have someone rebuild it. We are pleased none the less with ours, never sold them in Mississippi or surrounding areas so we were curious to get one.

Smokes quite a bit, under load it smokes like an 806.

As for price, I would be careful if it has water in the oil, wishful thinking and very good luck if it is only the gasket. Saw on in photo ads a few weeks back for $3000, good shape and running good.
