I know how to block the tractor and I know to block up the clutch housing,, but how do I actually separate the tractor? Is there anything special to do relative to the clutch? Does the input of the transmission just slide out of the clutch? After separating the tractor, is the clutch and flywheel easy to remove?

If you pull the pressure plate and clutch disc, be
sure to center the clutch disc when reinstalling.
I used an old splined shaft from a car transmission. A deep socket that just fits will work too. When I going to pull the engine from an
A, I unbolted the front steering from the tractor
and rolled it away as an assembly. Easier to reinstall to. Hal

The shaft has a spline and will slide apart easy. Yes you will have great access to the flywheel and pressure plate. Mite want to replace the pilot bearing in the crankshaft while you are apart. You will want to have one end of tractor o n wheels so you can roll it apart from other end. I have a set of rollers that bolts to the torque tube to roll the back half away. Going together put the pto in gear so you can align splines up.
