I have not dealt with purchasing the older models of tractors. I have a couple of 560's, an 806, 1066 and a 1566... {until last year I farmed for 20 years} but there is a Super "M" that is for sale by an individual that looks nice {thinking it would be a nice little tractor for light mowing and just pulling small trailers}. I have not stopped to look at it, just seen it while driving by... Before I stop and ask about it, what should I look for and what sorta price should I expect? In passing it looks sharp, but I know that looks can be quite deceiving sometimes.

Thanks for all advice!

If a Super M looks good and runs good, then it probably is good. If it has a TA it is worth a lot more, but by now the TA may need work. A super M has 46 and 41 hp, pto and drawbar respectively and those horses are all Clydesdales. Condition of rear tires and rims makes a lot of diff. in price. You may want to make sure it stays in all gears, and starts easily as it should. In Canadian $ the Super M with good rubber and good condn (no TA) would cost $1800 to $2000. It sounds like it's fairly close to home, too which is a plus. Buy it and enjoy it!!!!
