Hi Guys,

I can honestly say that I've never had a small chassis tractor with front end weights, but I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Thanks, Billy O and Howard for your help.

Allan

Dave,

Ended up still drivin' with the brakes and didn't even make it up to the steep stuff. I think I'm a hazzard to myself and all my tractors. :>(

I miss the flatland! :>(

Allan: You drylanders or I should say one of you drylanders must have had a lot of that dust in your eyes. Same rack and bolt pattern held them as on the big tractors. I had racks on all three of 560, 656 and 1066. You put enough weight behind, you gotta put weight up front. Doesn't matter how large or small the tractor is the physics are the same.

Whats all the wieght for? I thought the front end was supposed to be in the air when plowing. /At least that is the way it was with our 350!

We had a home made weight of about 400#s on the 706. Still had a light front end when hauling the heavier round bales.

i weighted one even smaller, used to have a 284 gas and to use a 5' brush hog on it, [ not a good idea by the way] i had to make a mount to put some ih weights on the front, thats about the time i discovered i didn't really have a ih tractor, there either, got rid of it soon.
