Just looked at a Farmall H Ser#H-FBH-79078. If anyone could shed some light as to what it might be and its Approx. value. I have driven it and it seems to run ok. Had fouled plugs, cleaned them and it ran much better. The tin is dented above the rad. and a kink where the steering shaft goes to the stering wheel. Has diff size rear tires which are weather cracked. Decent paint job but could have been done to hide who knows what. The pto shaft looks like it was extended and was welded to do that. Sticks out about 10" from the diff. Thats about all I can tell you about it. Any input would be greatly appreciated . Thank you for any input._Bill

FBH means it is a h dont know why just like FBK means a M dont know about that either the imperfections you listed are fairly common i would agree it has been turned over at one time here in west.ky.700-800 would probably catch it

without looking up the serial number change I'd guess it had the small 1 1/8 PTO and someone welded the adapter to it. Hs are common as dirt but they make a nice collectable and no two are alike. I think they will be going up in value in a year or two.

FBH is just a code that means the tractor is a Farmall H. The F stands for Farmall, and the H stands for H. Dunno what the B stands for.

FBK is the code for Farmall M. Dunno why it's a K instead of an M... Maybe IH was originally going to call it a K? Maybe IH had a problem with "BM" meaning "bowel movement" and the inevitable association of that phrase with the tractor, even though the tractor turned out to be one of the all-time greatest.

I have a 41 H that was just about in the same condition when I bought it. I believe your tractor has been upside down sometime in the past just like mine was. Thats the reason for the bent steering shaft & dent in the radiator grill. The top of the steering post was bent a little to the right also,so you might look close at yours. All the rubber / plastic? was gone on the steering wheel, and the steel ring was a little egg shaped. Someone took the dent out of my grill with a big ballpien hammer. No way to fix that. I gave 600 bucks for mine a little over a year ago and drove it home. Been working on it ever since.
