My 660D's power steering and remote hydraulics are not working at all. Tractor has been parked for 10 years, now has new oil and filter and no response from hydraulics. Any ideas on what to look for/ how to fix? Thanks

The plate that holds the hyd.filter in the houseing has a gasket make sure it is fully sealed if its not sealed it can suck air also.

The 660's hydraulic and power steering pumps get their oil supply from a common suction pipe. The pipe feeds into the hydraulic pump; porting in the hydraulic pump serves as a feed for the piggy-backed PS pump.

Their are two sealing rings on the suction pipe. One is actually an O-ring resting in the hydraulic pump, and the other is a flat ring much like a garden hose washer which serves to seal the port where the suction pipe plugs into the TA housing. If these sealing rings aren't doing their job, the pumps(s) will suck wind (literally).

Also common to both pumps is the drive and driven gear, filter and oil level. There was a post on RED POWER recently where a guy had the drive gear which spurs onto the pump driven gear fail so it can happen..

Did they work before it was parked? Does the PTO run? If the PTO doesn’t run then it is probably the independent PTO drive tube stripped out of the hub in the pressure plate. If the PTO does run then you either have hydraulic pump or supply problems.
