We have a 1903 hay tetter. We were told that some of the implements were either red and black, or red and gray. We would like to restore this to original colors; however, we have been unable to find any information on hay tetters let alone any photos. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Dale and Penny

Could be because there's no such thing as a "tetter." They're teDDers, with two "D"s. Search engines don't work unless your spelling is correct; at least google only offers to correct commonly misspelled words...

You must know my mother... She does the same thing, "Your father's out teTTing hay." Drives everyone up a wall! I think she just does it now to get a rise out of us...

tedders were built by many different companys. without more information it would be impossable to determine the exact color. The best you can do is compare orther implements of the era.
