I get worried when people talk about opperating with low oil presure. Nothing wrecks an engine faster than poor lubrication.
I rebuilt my W4 20 years ago and it still reads 60psi at idle and 75/80 working. On a real hot day after 4-6 hours it may drop to 60 at half throttle.
Whats the saying? "Oil is your cheapest mechanic!"

Mine starts around 50, after a few hours it might drop to 35. I'm happy.

Don't know what they are "sposed" to have; my old clunker runs right at 60 lbs cold, hot, slow or fast. :>(

With all due respect, I don't think you know what "clunker" really means :-)

If that is at a slow idle, you are good to go for a long, long time.

Can oil pressure be too high?
If so, what would cause it and how would you fix it?

Yes, oil pressure can be too high - usually the result of a bad relief valve in the pump.

H's and M's spec for oil pressure is 75 psi.

My H runs 75 psi at idle cold, 65 psi at idle hot, 70 psi full throttle hot. That is on a complete major overhaul (cut crank, etc.)

Oh yeah, anything over 20 psi at idle hot is perfectly fine for these old beasts!
